The education yesterday and today:::

Yesterday in Saudi Arabia the education wasnt fully allowed for women because of the parents wrong ideas about schools and education. After passing that period and people began to understand the importance of education ,the students were at different ages in one class . The teachers werent Saudi they were almost from Egypt ,Syria and Palastine . They mainly tought them Quraan and Islamic subjects ,reading and writing . The school building was old and just few rooms was there . When a student dont behaive good the punishment always tough and the teacher hit the hands with stick .

The education nowadays has improved and developed to better and easier for students to understand. There are different subjects beside the Islamic subjects like history, geography, computer, math and languages. The teachers are Saudi and they are well educated. The buildings are new and safety . The students always at the same age in the class and there are lots of rooms and classes . The students wear a uniform and there are rules . The school use new electronic ways to type and copy data by using computers and internet

There are many differences regarding education in Saudi Arabia between the past and present. The education in the past and present differs in subjects, teachers, classrooms, schools, transportation, and financial support. OoO

In the past, the education was very simple and limited. There were no universities, schools, and teachers. The teacher , usually a religious man, was called Al-Mutawa. Al-Mutawa was teaching boys and girls only three subjects which are: reading, reciting the Holy Quran, and math. Al-Mutawa was paid by boys’ and girls’ parents. Actually, they pay to Al-Mutawa by giving him food, clothes…etc. Al-Mutawa’s house was the class where the boys and girls learn. Classrooms were so simple, usually a rough room within a neighborhood or the like, sometimes students study in the open air. As for transportation, there was no transportation, students were going on feet, some were suffering especially those living in the mountainous regions. Financial support was limited comparing to these days, that’s why education in the past was not facilitated as that of the present. OoO

As for the education these days, it differs from that of the past in many aspects. There are ongoing developing for educational facilities and this includes constructing new universities, schools, colleges, and institutions. Teachers in the present time are more qualified than in the past, and for a particular subject there is a specified teacher or even more at every school, but in the past there was only one teacher for all subjects. OoO

Moreover, students of these days receive a well-based education from their very beginnings at the primary school. In addition, Saudi government is spending a lot of Riyals for offering students the perfect environment in order to facilitate their learning. As for subjects, those of the present education are diverse to cover almost the whole sides of life than in the past which were so limited. When it comes about transportation, Saudi government supplied governmental schools and universities with buses to transport students back and forth their houses.OoO

Finally, education in Saudi Arabia is developing day by day by the ongoing efforts of the Saudi government. Education of these days is different, almost in every aspect, than that of the past. But still, this does not mean that education in the past is useless, but rather, a lot of great people in Saudi Arabia, such as Kings and Princes of Saudi Arabia and other genius people, received their education in the past and they are well educated. As a bottom line, education of these days is totally based on the education of the past, and without the education of the past, education of these days would be fragile
