When can I use ( do – does – does ) Or (is – was – are – were)?
for example’
1)Is Jhon here?
2)Does Jhon here?
3)Was Jhon happy?
4)Did Jhon happy?
This needs a looong answer but Basically Do , does d, did are used with simple present and past tense in negative and questions form while (V be: is , are, am , was, were) are used with adjectives or adverbs or with present and past progressive…
SO you cannot say "Does John Here?" or "" Did John happy?" .. I know this is a very short answer but really if I answer thoroughly it will mean explaining these four tenses and the adjectives and adverbs and all the helping verbs.
