dear friends what is the differnce between the two verbs borrow and lend) can any friend explain the difference )

Borrow is to take and lend is to give.
Alya borrowed Asma’s book.
Asma lent the book to Alya

To borrow means to take the actions by the one who wants to take someone’s belongings:
Can I borrow your car?
BUT. to lend to give your belongings to somebody
EX. I lend my car to Ali everyday!!

obtain or receive something with the understanding that it will be returned, "May I borrow your lawn mower?"

lend [verb]
give or allow the use of something on the condition that it will be returned, "I will lend you my bicycle if you will return it tomorrow."
